The American club cannot yet buy the Venezuelan from the Miners
MLS club Cincinnati could rent the forward again Donetsk Shakhtar Kevin Kelsey.
It is reported that the American club will soon begin new negotiations with the Miners regarding the 20-year-old Venezuelan striker. It will be difficult for Cincinnati to carry out a full-fledged transfer, given the high cost of the player, so another lease option is likely.
Kelsey’s current lease agreement with Cincinnati runs through Dec. 31, 2024. His contract with Shakhtar runs until the end of 2027.
This year, Kevin played 29 matches for the American team, scoring six goals.
Cincinnati finished third in the MLS Eastern Conference standings. In the playoffs of the tournament, Kelsey’s team lost on penalties to New York City in the decisive match of the series in the 1/8 finals.
