Keyshawn Davis: My next opponent will be Denis Berinchyk

Kishon is confident that he can do a show with a Ukrainian

American lightweight and welterweight boxer Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) announced plans for a fight with the Ukrainian, WBO lightweight champion Denis Berinchik (19-0, 9 KOs).

“I won’t share the details yet, but my next opponent will be Denis Berinchik. He is an undefeated and pressing fighter. Denis is from Ukraine, friends with Lomachenko and Usik. Berinchik is a great fighter.”

“It’s crazy, last year we were supposed to fight, but now that he’s the world champion it’s even better. I have a feeling this will be an exciting matchup. I know people will come to support us.”

It was previously reported that Berinchyk will next fight with former IBF world champion in super featherweight Joe Cordina. The Ukrainian began preparing for the fight in Spain in October. Another option for Denis, besides Davis and Cordina, was Raymond Murataglia.

Let us remind you that in May Berinchik defeated the Mexican Emmanuel Navarrete by a split decision. The Ukrainian won the long-awaited WBO world lightweight title.

Davis is a silver medalist at the 2019 Pan American Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In his last fight, Kishon knocked out Gustavo Lemos and became the mandatory challenger for a fight with another Ukrainian – IBF and IBO world champion Vasily Lomachenko.
