Militao successfully undergoes cruciate ligament surgery

Eder will begin recovery in the coming days

Central defender Reala Eder Militao successfully underwent surgery on the cruciate ligament of the knee.

In the match with Osasuna (4:0), the 26-year-old defender suffered a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament with damage to both menisci of his right leg. Militao left the field on a stretcher and was replaced by midfielder Marco Asensio in the 30th minute.

Let us remember that last season Militao suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and the recovery process took eight months.

This season, Eder has made 17 appearances for Blancos in all competitions, scoring one goal and one assist.

Real are second in La Liga, six points behind Barcelona. After a break for international matches, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will play away at Leganes at the end of November.
