Rebrov: I thank the team for the last two months, and also for continuing to remind the world that the war in Ukraine continues

After a disastrous start, the blue-and-yellows took 8 points from four matches and finished in 2nd place in the group, reaching the playoffs for the right to rise to League A

Sergey Rebrovhead coach Ukrainian national team in football, summed up the performance of his players in group B1 Nations League 2024/25.

“We end the group phase of the Nations League with an extremely important victory, which gives us the opportunity to play in the playoffs for promotion to the elite division.”

“I would like to thank the team for the last two months, which has resulted in four unbeaten matches and a much happier group after a very poor start to this tournament in September.”

“Also, for the fact that 1000 days after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine and continuous attacks on civilian objects and people, they continue to remind the world that the war in Ukraine continues.”

Let us remind you that Rebrov’s team, thanks to yesterday’s victory over Albania (2:1) in the final round (as well as the victory of Czechia over Georgia in a parallel match), finished in second place in Group B1 of the 2024/25 Nations League. Over six rounds, Ukraine scored eight points, recording two wins, two draws and two losses.

The blue-and-yellows made it to the playoffs for the right to advance to Division A. Ukraine can play Scotland, Hungary, Serbia or Belgium. The draw will take place on Friday, November 22. The playoff matches themselves will take place next year – on March 20 and 23.
