Winner of the European Figure Skating Championships Vera Bazarova described the dancing couple’s evaluations as objective Alexandra Stepanova And Ivan Boukine on the stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow.
On Sunday, Stepanova and Bukin became the best in ice dancing at the fourth stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix in Moscow, scoring 213.90 points in a total of two programs. Irina Khavronina and David Narizhny won silver (206.10), bronze went to Elizaveta Pasechnik and Dario Chirisano (189.39).
— There was an interesting story in Moscow when the couple moved from eighth to third place – we are talking about Pasechnik and Chirisano. There were also some very brilliant performances from all the duos during the most intense warm-up. The main reason is that we are finally seeing full-fledged, completed duets. In ice dancing, it takes time to feel each other. And before that, our couples changed partners regularly and several times. Now everything is more or less settled.
Ice dancing is the most subjective form of figure skating. Much attention is paid to the second assessment. As for technology, the scores are quite objective. And yet, the distance is indeed decreasing. Visually, the difference between champions and winners is no longer as striking. I would like to believe that soon we will see a dance competition as vigorous as it is now among men,” Bazarova said in “Championship.”
