Vladislav had options with Chelsea and Arsenal, but both attempts at employment ended unsuccessfully
Ukrainian goalkeeper Vladislav Krapivtsovpreviously advocated SK Dnepr-1can continue his career in Spanish Girona.
It is reported that the 19-year-old football player is on trial with the team for which his compatriot, winger Viktor Tsygankov, is already playing.
Let us remember that this fall Krapivtsov had a chance to end up in one of several English clubs at the Premier League level. At the end of September it was reported that the goalkeeper had successfully passed the trial for Chelsea’s reserve team. However, the parties did not agree on a personal contract as the Blues were unable to meet the quota for a non-EU player. Southampton also applied for the player, but withdrew from the competition due to a similar situation with Chelsea.
At the end of October, information appeared that Vladislav was training with Arsenal – however, he was unable to find a job at this London club.
Krapivtsov was born in Kharkov in 2005. From the age of 17 he was in the structure of Dnepr, from where he moved to the youth team of SC Dnepr-1. During the 2023/24 season, Vladislav was included in the UPL squad three times, but never made his debut for the first team. Played 25 matches in the U-19 championship. After the Dnipro team was withdrawn from the competition, he received the status of a free agent.
In July, Krapivtsov successfully performed at the Youth (U-19) European Championship 2024, reaching the semi-finals with the Ukrainian national team. Following the results of the tournament, Vladislav was included in the symbolic team of the championship. At that Euro, he played four matches, managing to keep his goal intact in two of them.
Even earlier it was reported that, according to Sport Arena, Krapivtsov was interested in a club from Poland participating in European competitions.
Girona, which achieved historic progress last season and managed to qualify for the Champions League, is now in 10th place in the Spanish Primera Division. In the next match, Tsygankov’s team will host Espanyol on November 23.
