Ukrainian fight Alexandra Zakhozhego (19-0, 15 KO), EBU European heavyweight champion, against the Kosovar boxer Labinota Georgaya (19-0-1, 16 KOs), will be shown on Kyivstar TV.
The fight, in which Zakhozhy will defend his title for the first time, will take place on November 23 in Heidelberg, Germany. The second main event of the event will be a fight for the WBC, WBA, WBO and The Ring world champion belts in women’s boxing between the German representative Tina Rupprecht and the Japanese Eri Matsuda.
Let us remind you that Alexander was supposed to fight with the Swiss boxer Arnold Grzherzhai. However, his opponent was injured and will not be able to compete.
Zakhozhy won his EBU European heavyweight title in April 2024, defeating German Granit Shalu in the title fight. Before this, the Ukrainian fought in March 2023, knocking out German Muhammad Ali Durmaz.
Zahozhiy was also previously part of former UFC champion Francis Ngannou’s training camp, helping him prepare for fights against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
