Figure skater Sofia Dzepka, who won second place at the Russian Grand Prix among juniors in St. Petersburg, said she plans to work on ultra-si elements.
Dzepka took second place with a score of 211.26 points. Alena Prineva won (219.02), Lyubov Rubtsova took bronze (204.24).
— I am very happy with the result of the competition. It’s a wonderful coincidence: it’s the second time I’ve competed in this beautiful city and the second time I’ve won second place.
— Here you skated much better and cleaner than in the last stage. What influenced this?
“I think the work and the training have had an impact.
— You had a difficult start to the season, you had health problems. Can we say that everything is behind us?
– Yes. I would like to start working on the ultra-si elements. Due to injury I didn’t train them. I hope that when I return to Moscow I can start this. I’ll try. It’s hard to say which jump goes best. That season I collected a quadruple shearling coat and a quadruple Salchow.
— Was it difficult to close the girls’ competition?
— Preparing for departure went pretty well for me, I concentrated. There wasn’t much stress. I always have fun during competitions.
— What are the next competitions?
“I will have a tournament in Moscow at the beginning of December,” reports the correspondent, according to Dzepka.
