President of the All-Russian Athletics Federation Pyotr Fradkov said that work is underway to interact with the World Athletics Association and he intends to do everything necessary to return Russian athletes to the international scene.
On Saturday, Fradkov was unanimously elected the new head of the ARAF at a reporting and elections conference in Moscow. Another candidate for the position was Oleg Kurbatov.
— How are you going to cooperate with the head of the international federation (Sebastian Coe – editor’s note)? They say it is difficult to negotiate with him.
— I don’t see this as a problem, I don’t want to comment. There is no objective information. There is a transition period, that’s normal. We work on interaction, we will follow the principles of availability for dialogue and professionalism, this will benefit the federation.
