Sinner leads Italy to Davis Cup final

The Italians beat the Australians and will defend the title against the Netherlands in a decisive showdown.

On Saturday, November 23, the second semi-final of the 2024 Davis Cup took place, where the national teams of Italy and Australia fought for access to the decisive round.

The winners of the clash between the two finalists of last year’s tournament were the defending champions, the Italians, who won both singles matches.

In the first match, Matteo Berrettini won a strong victory over Thanasi Kokkinakis. And in the second meeting, world number one Jannik Sinner defeated Alex De Minaur in two sets.

In the Davis Cup finals, Italy will defend the title against the Netherlands, who defeated Germany in the semi-finals by a similar score.
