The Red Bull driver shared his impressions of his fourth consecutive victory in the Formula 1 season.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has commented on his early success in the Formula 1 championship this season.
The Dutch driver finished fifth at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, ahead of rival Lando Norris of McLaren, and that was enough to secure the championship title.
“It has been a long time that we started the championship well, almost like we were on a pleasant journey, but then came the difficult times, however, as a team we are together, constantly working on improving of the car, and we finally saw it through to the end.
I’m very proud of all the guys and thankful to them for everything they did for me. I never thought I would come here as a four-time Formula 1 champion. So now I feel relieved and proud.
Of course, it was a very difficult time. Sometimes it’s difficult on a human level and I have to try to control myself and stay calm. Maybe I would prefer that everything was like last season, I really liked it then. But this season taught me a lot, and I’m proud of how we faced challenges as a team. It makes this season great in its own way,” Sky Sports quoted Verstappen as saying.
