Kalinichenko failed to qualify
Ukrainian Evgeniy Marusyak finished 36th in the stage Ski Jumping World Cup in Norwegian Lillehammer.
The athlete passed the qualification without any problems, showing the 33rd result (exactly 120 meters and 106.2 points). In the main round, Evgeniy was unable to improve this figure – his jump range was 110 meters. With 92.2 points, Marusyak took 36th place and could not qualify for the second round.
Another Ukrainian, Vitaly Kalinichenko, failed to overcome the qualification barrier – 72.8 points, 60th place.
Yesterday Marusyak also made it to the main round of the competition – Evgeniy took 40th place. Kalinichenko, like today, did not qualify.
Let us remind you that Marusyak and Kalinichenko took part in a historic performance the day before yesterday – the Ukrainian national team with them in the lineup (as well as Tatyana Pilipchuk and Zhanna Glukhova) performed for the first time in mixed doubles at the World Cup, taking 11th place.
17-year-old Glukhova also took 36th place in Lillehammer today, achieving the best result for Ukraine in the history of women’s springboard, as well as setting a new record for distance (105.5 meters).
The next stage of the Ski Jumping World Cup will take place in the Finnish Ruka from November 29 to December 1. At this stage, the Ukrainian national team does not plan to compete.
