Savely Luzin won the 800 meter freestyle at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championships.
In the final swim, he set a Russian record, posting a result of 7 minutes 33.97 seconds. The previous achievement belonged to Alexander Stepanov (7.34.58).
Kirill Martynychev was second (7:34.21), while Ivan Morgun was third (7:40.01).
The tournament in St. Petersburg will end on November 26.
