Porto lost to Moreirense and sensationally dropped out of the Portuguese Cup at the 1/16 final stage

The Dragons became the winners of the last three draws of the tournament

Porto suffered a sensational defeat in the 1/16 finals match Portuguese Cup from Moreirense (1:2).

At the same time, it was Porto who opened the scoring in the match – Brazilian winger Pepe scored in the 35th minute. Moreirense restored the status quo before the break thanks to a precise strike from Luis Azue, and in the 77th minute Alan earned his team a ticket to the 1/8 finals of the tournament. There, Moreirense awaits a meeting with Gil Vicente.

It should be noted that Porto has been the constant winner of the last three editions of the Portuguese Cup.

Previously, two other Portuguese giants got tickets to the 1/8 finals of the 2024/25 national cup. Anatoly Trubin’s Benfica defeated Estrela (7:0), and Sporting left no chance for lower-league Amaranta (6:0).
