At the Executive Committee of the Federation, FFR President Ilgar Mamedov proposed nominating Degtyarev as a candidate for the post of head of the ROC; all eight members of the executive committee voted in favor.
The acting president of the FFKKR, Anton Sikharulidze, also proposed Degtyarev’s appointment. The Executive Committee of the Federation also unanimously supported this proposal (“for” – 22 votes, “against” and “abstention” – 0).
In November, Degtyarev’s candidacy for the post of president of the ROC was proposed by the Russian Weightlifting Federation and the All-Russian Athletics Federation.
