Diver Trifonova on neutral status: “It is important that we can perform in synchronized mode”

Russian diver Nadezhda Trifonova said that for her, admission to international competitions in synchronized diving was an important moment.

Trifonova received neutral status to participate in world aquatic competitions.

— You haven’t had any experience of international competitions yet, have you?

— Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the major international competitions or even the World and European Championships, but I really wanted to, because I always had the certainty of being able to compete with the best young athletes in the world.

— Why did you decide to apply?

— The main impetus for making this decision was the victory in synchronized jumping at the Russian Championship with my partner Ulyana Klyueva.

— Now that the admission rules have been changed, do you also hope to play in “synchronized” games at the international level?
