Ukrainian national U-18 handball team became a silver medalist European Championship 2022 (Division B)which took place in Romanian Craiova.

In the final match, the blue-yellows lost to Austria by seven goals – 23:30. At the beginning of the match, Ukraine lost Andriy Kasai due to an injury, who reached the final as the team’s best goal scorer (23 goals in four meetings).

The blue-and-yellows were leading by two or three goals at the start of the confrontation, but the Austrians managed to seize the initiative and win the first half — 15:12. The second half of the meeting was also a success for Austria, which managed not only to keep, but also to develop the advantage.

It should be noted that at the group stage Ukraine met with Austria and managed to defeat opponents – 29:26.
