Swimmer Ksenia Misharina, having a national youth record, won the Russian short course championship at a distance of 1,500 meters freestyle.
In the final, the 15-year-old athlete covered the distance in 15 minutes 45.72 seconds. Her result surpassed that of Margarita Ershova, which was 15 minutes 52.14 seconds.
Anastasia Kuvychko (16.07.40) finished second in swimming, Alexandra Khailova (16.08.19) closed the top three.
The tournament in St. Petersburg will end on November 26.
