Ustyugov lost the case at CAS.
Russian biathlete Evgeny Ustyugov will be stripped of gold and bronze at the 2010 Olympic Games.
The athlete appealed the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), but it was rejected.
The Appellate Division upheld the findings of the CAS Anti-Doping Division (ADD), which concluded that Ustyugov had committed an anti-doping rule violation.
Ustyugov was punished with a four-year disqualification.
In addition, all results achieved by Ustyugov in the period from January 24, 2010 until his retirement at the end of the 2013/2014 season were canceled. These include the results achieved at the Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010, where Ustyugov was awarded a gold medal in the mass start and bronze in the men’s relay.
Ustyugov appealed this decision to the Federal Court of Switzerland.
