Ukrainian woman got bronze in keirin
Ukrainian cyclist Elena Starikova won bronze medal on the European Multisport Championship 2022. The Ukrainian became the third in the keirin.
Starikova started the race at the back of the group, and got into heavy traffic. In the last turn, she managed to break out into free space and, having overtaken two rivals, won bronze.
For Elena, this is the second medal at the European Multisport Championship. Earlier, the Ukrainian won silver in the gita. In her signature discipline, the sprint, Starikova unexpectedly lost at the 1/8 final stage to another Ukrainian Alexandra Logvinyuk.
For Ukraine, this is the seventh medal at the tournament. Recall that para-rowers Svetlana Boguslavskaya and Yaroslav Koyuda brought Ukraine the first gold medal at the 2022 European Multisport Championship. Another gold was won by Denis Boldyrev in climbing competitions.
Ukraine also won two medals in para-academic rowing – Roman Polyansky won silver, and Anna Sheremet won bronze. Ekaterina Dudchenko, Natalia Dovgodko, Daria Verkhoglyad and Evgenia Dovgodko took bronze in the quad rowing competition.
The 2022 European Multisport Championship takes place from 11 to 21 August in Munich.
