Manchester City Mentor Pep Guardiola commented on the situation within the team after the draw with Feyenoord in the 5th round Champions League 2024/25 (3:3).
“The game was excellent at 3-0, we played well, but then we conceded a lot of goals because we were not consistent. We’ve lost a lot of games lately, we’re vulnerable.”
“I don’t know if it’s psychological. The first goal shouldn’t have happened, and neither should the second. After that we forgot about what happened, we desperately wanted to win and play well. We play well, but we don’t win games.”
“The situation is what it is. We played a good game, but at this level we can’t afford to give it away.”
Feyenoord made an incredible comeback, scoring three goals in 14 minutes. Manchester City cannot win in six matches in a row (1 draw and 5 defeats) in all tournaments.
Pep Guardiola’s team has eight points and is in 15th place in the overall Champions League standings.
