Shakhtar midfielder commented on the ongoing war with Russia
Midfielder Shakhtar Georgy Sudakov spoke about the struggle of Ukrainians against Russian aggression.
“My life, like the lives of many Ukrainians, has changed forever. Every day we try to stay strong despite difficult circumstances. We are used to hearing sirens and living under constant threat, but this should never become the norm. We are fighting for our future.”
“Yes, the situation is still very difficult. We continue to live under a constant threat that affects us all. However, Ukrainians are incredibly resilient, and even in these conditions we continue to work and fight for our freedom.”
Sudakov arrived with Shakhtar in Eindhoven, where he will play against PSV on November 27. The match of the fifth round of the Champions League will start at 22:00.
Early in the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia fired rockets and aerial bombardment of most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has continued for the 1008th day.
