Russian cyclist Nikita Martynov has been blacklisted by the International Cycling Union (UCI).
On November 6, the UCI blacklisted cyclists from the CSKA team who participated in the Tour du Faso. The list published on the official website of the organization included Russians Dmitry Eroshkin (team staff), Evgeny Kazanov (CSKA team member), as well as Artem Gomozkov, Kirill Kapustin, Anton Popov, Mamyr Stash and Anton Vorobyov, who started the race.
Martynov also competed in the race, but his disqualification had not previously been announced.
