Fans of Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United united in protest against rising ticket prices

Fans of all four clubs will hold a joint rally at Old Trafford and Anfield on Sunday.

Fans of bitter rivals – Everton And Liverpool, Manchester City And Manchester United — will join forces in a joint protest against increasing ticket prices.

Initially, the protest initiative belonged to one of the Manchester United fan associations, which planned to hang the “Stop Exploiting Loyalty” banner at the Premier League home match against Everton this coming Sunday, December 1st. Toffees fans decided to support the Mancunians in this initiative.

Soon, representatives of the fan movement of two more clubs from the same cities decided to join the action – Liverpool and Manchester City, the match between which will also take place on the first day of winter. Both sides will display banners with a similar message at this fight.

The impetus for the protest was Manchester United’s increase in home ticket prices to £66, with no discounts for children and pensioners. It is reported that Man City has raised season ticket prices by an average of 5% this season. Liverpool did not stand aside either, organizing a two percent increase in ticket prices.

Leaders of fan groups of all four clubs noted the importance of the ability to unite even for representatives of the most irreconcilable camps in order to solve “real problems that threaten the game” and together “fight for justice.”

A similar action had already taken place in Birmingham at the Aston Villa-Everton match earlier in September.

The Manchester United – Everton match will start on Sunday at 15:30 Kyiv time; The confrontation between Liverpool (leader of the Premier League) and Manchester City (second place, 8 points behind) starts at 18:00.
