Ukrainians were the best in the technical program of duets
Ukrainian athletes Marina and Vladislav Alekseev won another gold European Championship 2022 in water sports, which takes place in Rome.
The Alekseev sisters won the technical duet program. Ukrainians scored 92.8538 points, almost 0.9 points ahead of their closest rivals from Austria.
For the Alekseevs, this is already the fourth gold in the tournament, and the second among duets. Earlier, Marina and Vladislava became European champions in the free duet program, and also won the highest awards as part of the Ukrainian team in the technical program and in combination.
In total, Ukraine has already won the seventh gold medal at the championship. Two awards were won by Marta Fedina, winning in free and technical solo.
The European Championship takes place in Rome from 11 to 21 August. Competitions in artistic swimming will be held from 11 to 15 August.
