The All-Russian Spartakiad of summer sports among professional athletes will not leave anyone indifferent, it is not a passing pre-season tournament, said the president of the Russian Handball Federation (RHF) Sergei Shishkarev .
The Spartakiad handball tournament will take place from August 20 to 29. Men’s competitions will be held in Chekhov, women – in Zvenigorod.
– In terms of organization, equipment, broadcasts, good excitement, the Spartakiad is essentially a mini-Olympiad. And here the match schedule is even more intense than at the Olympic Games. The Olympic system is completely repeated. The teams are perfectly prepared, everyone has big ambitions. This is not a pre-season pass tournament, but competitions that will not leave anyone indifferent. Everyone missed the sport, handball. There will be solemn prizes and awards,” Shishkarev told reporters.
