Leicester officially announced the appointment Ruud van Nistelrooy for the post of head coach.

The contract between the parties was signed until the summer of 2027.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s last job was at Manchester United, where he served as assistant to Erik ten Hag. Following his dismissal, Ruud became acting head coach. Van Nistelrooy stated that he wanted to remain in Manchester in the future. However, the new head coach Ruben Amorim decided to radically update the coaching staff, firing, among others, Van Nistelrooy.

Leicester announced the resignation of Steve Cooper last Sunday. The Foxes are on a streak of five matches without a win in all tournaments. Cooper’s last match in the team was a defeat to Chelsea (1:2).

Leicester is in 16th place in the Premier League with 10 points. The Foxes will play their next match on November 30 away against Brentford Yegor Yarmolyuk.
