Lightweight Davis will defend his WBA belt against a similar title holder in the division below.
WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) will defend his belt in his next fight against the holder of the same super featherweight title, Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs).
Initially, the fight between the two American boxers was scheduled for December 14 in Houston, but was postponed due to organizational problems.
The new date for the match has been confirmed as March 1, 2025.
The fight will headline a boxing show from the promotion company Premier Boxing Champions, which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA.

The bout will be officially announced at a press conference attended by the boxers, which will take place on December 3.
Let’s remember that Davis only fought one fight in 2024, winning by eighth-round knockout over Frank Martin in June.
Roach has been in the ring once again this year, stopping Fergal McCrory in the eighth round in June.
Earlier, the promoter of Gervonta Davis named the reason for the failure of the fight with Vasily Lomachenko.
