The club believes that judges are biased against Poltava residents
SK Poltava turned to To the UAF Referees Committee with a demand to comment on the controversial decisions of referees in a number of First League matches. The club believes that the referees are biased towards Poltava residents.
“Capital stadium “Dynamo”. With a score of 1:0, SK Poltava defeats Metalist 1925. This was achieved with dire consequences. Referee Zaitsev showed three warnings to key players on the cards. Danilenko, Plakhtyr and Marusich each receive a fourth yellow card and are forced to miss the match with another competitor – FC YUKSA. It is interesting that Zaitsev’s interpretation of seemingly identical episodes was far from consistent…”
“Another game with another contender for first place – Kudrovka. The home arena of SK Poltava is busy, so the team is hosting an opponent in Horishni Plavny. But at the exit from the city, the club bus is stopped by representatives of the police and the TCC. The football players were detained for almost two hours. If not for the air raid warning, which delayed the start of the game, the Poltava team could have been one step away from technical defeat in a nominally home match. Not everyone made it to the game either…”
“Match referee Kristina Kozorog first scores the ball into the Poltava team’s goal, despite a brutal blow to Vladislav Danilenko’s face. Then he removes Poltava’s top scorer Dmitry Shcherbak from the field, whose nerves could not stand it and he waved away his opponent…”
“Kristina Kozorog decided that sending off was not enough for Shcherbak, so she completely deprived the leader of the Poltava team of the opportunity to play in the final three matches of the autumn part of the season. Taking into account the arbitrator’s interpretation, which was recorded in the protocol, the FTC did not hesitate to suspend Dmitry until the end of the year…”
“As a result, the Poltava team finishes the half-year in fourth place in Group B of the First League. Shcherbak watches football from the stands, Danilenko will again miss the start of the spring part of the season, and Marusich, instead of taking a vacation, must undergo a complex operation and resume work for at least two months.
“SK Poltava calls on the Committee of Arbitrators to interpret the episodes and explain why the referees in identical moments make diametrically opposed decisions, which ultimately affect the result.”
