Justin Kluivert scores a hat-trick, scoring all his goals from penalties
Bournemouth achieved an away victory over Wolverhampton in a productive match of the 13th round English Premier League – 4:2.
The teams started right off the bat: by the eighth minute three goals had been scored. First, Justin Kluivert converted a penalty for Nelson Semedo’s handball, then Jorgen Strand Larsen, after a cross from the right, beat the Ukrainian Ilya Zabarny and leveled with a header, and immediately Milos Kerkez put the visitors ahead again.
10 minutes later, Andoni Iraola’s team increased their lead – Kluivert scored a penalty kick for the second time. Then there was a lull until the middle of the second half, when Larsen scored a double and restored the intrigue, but soon Jose Sa broke the rules, and Patrick’s son beat the Portuguese goalkeeper from the spot for the third time.
Zabarny played the entire match as usual; he hasn’t missed a second in this Premier League yet. Ilya’s liability includes a yellow card (the first card), earned for tripping him just before the break.
Wolves ended their run of four unbeaten matches and continue to teeter on the brink of the relegation zone. Cherries rose to 11th place (18 points), now they are much closer to the European Cup zone.
The next round will take place midweek. Wolverhampton will play away against Everton on December 4, and Bournemouth will host Tottenham the next day.
