Ukrainian Motor under the most dramatic circumstances lost to the Bosnian From now on in the second round match European Cup 2024/25 in handball – 8:9 on penalties, 39:41 in total.
The team from Zaporozhye had to defend a minimal victory (33:32) in the away match, won on November 24 in Michalovce, Slovakia. At first, Motor coped with the task extremely difficult: the Bosnians won the first half with a confident advantage of 17:11.
But in the second half, the Ukrainians managed a comeback – as a result, at the end of regular time, the score in the two-game duel became equal, 64:64. The winner had to be determined in a penalty shootout, and this intense thriller was marked by the triumph of Izvidac – 9:8 and 41:39 in total.
Let us remind you that at the previous stage of the European Cup, Motor twice defeated the representative of Luxembourg – Ash. In the first match, the Ukrainian club fought a serious battle and won in a tense fight (32:26). The second match was an easier ride for Motor – 46:29.
