The midfielder is ready to confront Benfica
Midfielder Dynamo Alexander Andrievsky said that the team is emotionally ready for the confrontation with Benfica in the playoff round of qualification Champions League.
“First of all, we think about our people and our heroes defending Ukraine. It’s the most important. We play for them and try to support them in this way, add strength and inspiration.”
“We feel at home in Poland. Everything is super, all the conditions have been created for us to prepare well and show results on the field.
We feel support from the Polish people, so we play for them as well. We invite Polish fans to tomorrow’s match.”
“We played Benfica last year, so we are emotionally ready for a new meeting. I think if we follow the coach’s instructions 100 percent, then everything will be fine with us.”
Earlier, Benfica head coach Roger Schmidt said he expects an open game from the first match against Dynamo. Mentor Orlov called the people of Kiev the most motivated opponent.
The first match with Benfica Kyiv will play on August 17 in Lodz. The beginning is at 22:00 Kyiv time.
