Smirnova covered the distance in 27 minutes 32.6 seconds. Took second place Arina Kalicheva (+16.2 sec). The third time showed Lidia Gorbounova (+19.9).
This is Smirnova’s second victory of the Russian Cup season. In the first stage, also at the Töya summit, she won the same distance of 10 km, but in a freestyle. Smirnova is the sole leader of the women’s general classification. She has 161 points, her closest pursuer Kalicheva has 138.
On December 1, as part of the second stage of the Russian Cup, a classic-style 10 km men’s race will take place.
