The Ukrainian boxer spoke about his training camp before the fight.

Former interim WBC junior middleweight champion Sergei Bogachuk talks about how he is preparing for his next fight against the division’s former title holder, Uzbek Israil Madrimov.

The Ukrainian boxer noted that he should approach the fight in his best shape.

“We finished the training camp in Mexico, flew back to Los Angeles, spent a week there, and then on Sunday, December 8, we flew to Saudi Arabia.

In the training camp we worked on physical training and sparring. We brought our sparring partners here. These are powerful, good guys, sparring with them is of a very high quality.

The atmosphere here is very sporty. We ran in the park every morning, and I was surprised how many people do something in the morning: they also run, do yoga, and other sports. Also, when we did physical training at the gym, the gym was crowded, everyone was training.

In general, my camp is going well, everything is giving me. I think I was in the best shape of my life against Madrimov. I’m preparing very well and am very serious,” Luckypunch.net quoted Bogachuk as saying.

The fight between Bogachuk and Madrimov will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, on the undercard of the rematch between Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury.

Earlier, Bogachuk assessed the fight with Madrimov, calling it the main obstacle.
