The former champion explained how the Briton could defeat the Ukrainian in repeated matches.
Former world champion Johnny Nelson says how Tyson Fury must have a rematch with WBC, WBA and WBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk to hope for victory.
In his opinion, in the rematch the Briton should make the most of his size advantage in addition to his boxing prowess.
“After the first fight, Usik assessed Fury, he understood that Tyson will probably attack him, use his strength, size, physical shape that Fury should have done in the first fight and should do it in the rematch.
Tyson needs to make sure he can pressure his opponent along with his boxing skills. All of this has to be done immediately after the starting bell, because the longer the fight goes on, the greater the chance that he won’t be able to maintain this pace,” Nelson was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
The rematch between Usik and Fury will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. In May of this year, in the fight for the title of absolute champion, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by split decision.
In the past, Fury has spoken about what it will take to beat Usik.
