The defending champion lost one position on the grid.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who won pole position in qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix the previous day, lost his first place at the start of the race.
The Dutch driver, who previously clinched the championship early in the previous round, was dropped a position due to an incident with George Russell, the official Formula 1 website reports.
The stewards considered that during qualifying, Verstappen drove unreasonably slowly on the track, interfering with the Mercedes driver, and awarded him a penalty.
Having lost pole, Verstappen will start the race from second position, with Russell first on the grid.
We remind you that the Qatar Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday, December 1, and will start at 18:00 Kyiv time.
