Let us remind you that Yaroslava Maguchikh was recognized as the best athlete of Ukraine based on the results of June, August and September. In addition, Yaroslava was recognized as the best athlete of Ukraine in 2023.
Previously, Maguchikh was recognized as the best athlete in Europe in 2024. For two previous years, the Ukrainian was among the finalists for the award from European Athletics. The Ukrainian was also awarded the title of best athlete in the Balkans in 2024.
At the 2024 Olympic Games, Maguchikh won gold in the high jump, clearing the bar at a height of 2.00 m. Also on July 7, Maguchikh broke the world high jump record, which had stood since 1987 – Yaroslava cleared the height of 2.10 m at the Diamond stage league in Paris.
