Gleikhengauz – on the argument with Zagitova: “It was fun, pleasant and no one felt embarrassed”

Choreographer of the Eteri Tutberidze group, Honored Figure Skating Coach of Russia Daniel Gleikhengauz said he did not feel any discomfort due to the dispute with the Olympic champion Alina Zagitova .

At the stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow, it was announced that Zagitova had an argument with Gleikhengauz: if the figure skater from Tutberidze’s group, Daria Sadkova, performed the short program cleanly, he would wear the fur coat from Alina. Zagitova won the debate, Gleikhengauz fulfilled her condition.

— Alina Zagitova put her fur coat on you. What do these humorous moments bring?

– Well, in Kazan I was supposed to wear a pink fur coat, but Dasha Sadkova made a slight mistake there, so it didn’t happen there. In Moscow, I myself did not expect it, because I thought the dispute was over. But it was fun. Of course, everything must stay within limits. And during competitions, you still have to take everything seriously.

But it seems to me that here it was fun, sweet, and it seems to me that no one felt any discomfort. But for the spectators and supporters it was fun, and the reaction, it seems to me, was definitely positive in the stadium itself, ”reports the correspondent according to Gleikhengauz’s words.
