Marseilles won at home against Monaco in the central match of the 13th round French Championship – 2:1.
The Monegasques took the lead before the break thanks to a precise strike from Alexander Golovin. The home team came back early in the second half through the efforts of Luis Enrique.
Roberto De Zerbi’s team managed to get three points at the end of the match – Mason Greenwood converted a penalty in the 89th minute. This is the striker’s ninth goal in the current French Championship.
Marseille moved up to second place in Ligue 1, ahead of Monaco on additional indicators. De Zerbi’s side are seven points behind leaders PSG.
In the next round, Marseille will play away against Saint-Etienne on December 8. Monaco will host Toulouse on December 7.
