Rudolf Sahakyan, honored cycling coach of Russia and Armenia, has died

Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Cycling Coach of Armenia and the Russian Federation Rudolf Sahakyan has died at the age of 84. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Cycling Federation (FVSR).

“The Russian Cycling Federation expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and students of Rudolf Ivanovich,” the message read.

Until 1973, Sahakyan worked in the Physical Education Department of the Polytechnic Institute, then was appointed to the sports committee as a state cycling coach.

Since 2000 he started working in the FVSR as a cycling trainer.
