— It was my first Russian Championship in December 2021, where Sasha Trusova, Anya Shcherbakova and other girls from their group performed. During the warm-up before the short program, I skated with them and I was very scared. It seemed to me that if I suddenly disturbed one of them on the ice, the consequences could be most unpredictable.
But already in the next season I took part in competitions thinking that I was the same participant as everyone else and that I should think not about not interfering with someone, but about expressing myself as much as possible. Now I am already calmly competing with the same Dasha Sadkova, with Adelia Petrosyan, with Sonya Akatieva. And I don’t see anything impossible in competing with them,” Yametova said according to RT.
