According to the coach, the “Gypsy King” will show a stronger performance compared to the first fight
Famous trainer Mark Tibbs commented on the upcoming rematch between the holder of the WBC, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles Alexander Usik (22-0, 14 KOs) and former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
“I will definitely watch this fight. One of my friends promised me some tickets.”
“Usyk is as experienced as Fury, but Tyson almost beat him in the first fight. Any experienced fighter or coach immediately understood what he did wrong then. He just needs to fix these things to get the win.”
“None of these guys at the top are going to give up, but Tyson made a few mistakes. I hope he fixes everything and wins the rematch. In any case, it will be difficult to do, since we know that Tyson is already on the verge of his career. Both guys have been in some big fights. So we’re in for one hell of a fight.”
“Yes, Usyk is very confident in himself now. Of course, he gained this confidence in the first fight, but here two real fighters will meet. So I wouldn’t count out the other guy either. It can work both ways.”
Let us remember that on the night of May 18-19, Usik inflicted the first defeat in his professional career on Tyson in a fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The victory was awarded to the Ukrainian by a split decision: 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.
An agreement has been concluded between Usik and Fury for a re-fight. The “Gypsy King” has officially activated the rematch option.

The second fight between Alexander and Tyson will take place on December 21, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said he would seek the introduction of video replays in this fight.
At the end of October, the first press conference and duel of the boxers’ views took place in London. Usik appeared in public to the song “Ave Maria” in the extravagant image of the hero of the computer game series Hitman. Fury came out to the song “Barbie Girl.” The event was hosted by legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer.
