Indian grandmaster Gukesh Dommaraju And Ding Liren from China tied in the seventh game of the title match world chess champion.
In the first game after another day of rest, Gukesh was behind the white pieces. The game dragged on for more than five hours. On the 72nd move, the grandmasters agreed to a draw.
The score in the match remains equal – 3.5:3.5. Earlier, Dean and Gukesh got one victory each, the rest of the games ended in a draw. On Wednesday, in the eighth game, Liren will play with white.
Dean defends the world title he won in 2023. Gukesh won the Candidates Tournament on his way to the final match.
The world title match is taking place in Singapore. The rules of the match are designed for 14 games and, if necessary, a tie-breaker will be played. The winner will be the grandmaster who is the first to score 7.5 points.
