Elizaveta Polstyanaya was born in the Latvian city of Jurmala to Russian parents. She started practicing rhythmic gymnastics at the age of seven in Moscow. In 2018 Polstyanaya received Latvian citizenship and began representing Latvia at international tournaments.
Elizabeth’s track record includes two bronze medals at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix stages (2021 – hoop, 2022 – hoop) and a silver medal at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in team competitions.
