Lithuanian Ruta Meilutite won the 50m breaststroke at the European Swimming Championships.
The contest took place in Rome.
Meilutite showed a time of 29.59 seconds in the swim.
Bosnian Lana Pudar won gold in the 200m butterfly. Germany’s Isabelle Marie Gose won the 400m freestyle.
Briton Benjamin Proud has become the strongest in the 50m freestyle. Italian Thomas Ceccon won the 100m backstroke and Hungarian Hubert Kos won the 200m medley. German swimmer Lukas Martens won gold in the 400m freestyle.
The Swedes won the 4x100m medley relay. At a similar distance for the men, victory went to the Italian team.
The swimming competitions of the European Swimming Championships ended there.
The duo of Germans Lou Massenberg and Tina Punzel became the winners of the synchronized diving of the 3 meter springboard. Britain’s Andrea Spendolini Sirieks won the platform diving competition.
The diving competitions will last until August 21.
