Rodionenko gave details of the Gymnastics Ethics Foundation Appeal Tribunal hearings on Kulyak

Members of the Gymnastic Ethics Foundation (GEF) Appeals Tribunal listened carefully to the Russian gymnast Ivan Kulyak they agreed with some arguments, Russian national team head coach told Valentina Rodionenko .

The meeting of the Appeals Tribunal was held on August 15 remotely.

Everything went well, they listened to us very carefully. On some things they agreed, on others they did not. Everything went peacefully. This meeting was much more interesting than the first hearing, when such a verdict had been rendered. The impression is that they will still discuss. Today, we cannot say what the solution will be. We were clearly told that the final decision would be made in a month,” Rodionenko told .

Kulyak was suspended for one year by the WEF Disciplinary Commission in May for participating in the parallel bars and medal ceremony with the letter Z on his uniform at the World Cup in Doha in March. Kulyak’s team appealed the decision on June 7.
