Ukrainian athlete Ekaterina Tabashnik reported that her mother had died after Russian shelling of a hostel in Kharkov on the morning of 18 August.
According to Suspіlne, awards and certificates of Tabashnik were found under the rubble.
“Mommy, I love you very much. The Russian world took my mother’s life. Freed me from home and all my life. How I hate you, ”Tabashnik wrote on Instagram.
On the morning of August 18, the Russians hit a hostel in the Slobodsky district of Kharkov, and on the evening of August 17 they fired at a hostel in the Saltovsky district.
Recall that on August 6, Tabasznik won bronze in the high jump at the Diamond League stage in Chorzow, Poland. This is the first medal for the 28-year-old Ukrainian at the Diamond League level.
