Norwegian Ingebrigtsen won the 1500m at the European Championships in Munich

norwegian runner Jacob Ingebrigtsen won the 1500 meters at the European Athletics Championships in Munich.

Ingebrigtsen clocked 3 minutes 32.76 seconds, setting a championship record. Britain’s Jake Hayward was second in 3:34.44. Spaniard Mario Garcia rounded out the top three with 3:34.88.

In the men’s hammer throw competition, Wojciech Nowicki from Poland took first place with a score of 82 metres. Italian Gianmarco Tamberi became the winner of the high jump tournament, the athlete took the bar of 2.30 meters.

In the 5000 meter race, Germany’s Constanza Klosterhalfen (14:50.47) won the gold medal, in the long jump – Ivana Vuleta from Serbia (7.06m). In the women’s heptathlon, Belgium’s Nafissatou Thiam won gold.

The European Athletics Championships take place from August 11 to 21.
