Swimmer Rylov – before the start of the Spartakiad: “I’m really looking forward to competing and improving my results”

Double Olympic swimming champion Yevgeny Rylov said he expects to improve his results at the All-Russian Spartakiad in summer sports among the strongest athletes.

The Spartakiad swimming tournament will be held in St. Petersburg from August 21 to 26.

– I look forward to competitions and a good performance, improve my results or swim through them. For me, the competitions are a test of all my achievements this year. Preparations are now underway in recovery mode. In St. Petersburg, I swim 100 and 200 meters on my back, possibly relay races,” the All-Russian Swimming Federation press service quoted Rylov as saying.

“For me, these are equally important competitions for which I am preparing, as well as for the Friendship Games,” said Evgenia Chikunova, winner of the Short Course World Championship. — We worked as usual, paying attention to technology. Now I’m waiting for the start and I try to approach with a positive attitude. In Saint-Petersburg, I will compete at distances of 100 and 200 m breaststroke.

The Spartakiad started on August 10 and will end on October 2.
