Dnepr-1 lost to Cypriot AEK
Today, August 18, the first matches of the round took place Europa League qualifying playoffs.
Ukrainian striker Bogdan Vyunnik started in Zurich and helped the Swiss team beat Hearts (2:1). The striker didn’t score with goals and was substituted in the 70th minute.
Pyunik, under the leadership of Lviv’s ex-coach Eghishe Melikyan, drew with Sheriff (0:0). At the start of the Armenian team, two Ukrainians came out – Sergey Vakulenko and Anton Bratkov. In Sheriff’s reserve, the entire match was played by former Dynamo goalkeeper Maxim Koval.
The Ukrainian defender of Ludogorets, Igor Plastun, remained in the reserves of the Bulgarian team for the home match with Zalgiris (1:0).
Midfielder Roman Bezus helped Omonia beat his former club Gent (2:0). The Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the middle of the second half.
SC Dnipro-1 also began its journey in the Europa League. The Ukrainian club in the Slovak Kosice lost to the Cypriot AEK (1:2).
